- What is embroidery?
Embroidery is a decoration method that uses thread and stitching to create logos, text, and designs on fabric. Unlike screen printing, embroidery provides a textured, professional, and long-lasting finish. - What types of items can be embroidered?
We can embroider on: Apparel: T-shirts, polos, hoodies, jackets, uniforms, Headwear: Hats, beanies, visors, Accessories: Bags, backpacks, towels, blankets, Corporate & Workwear: Aprons, scrubs, chef coats - What’s the difference between embroidery and screen printing?
Embroidery uses thread for a textured, high-end look. Screen printing uses ink, making it ideal for large, colorful designs. Embroidery is more durable, while screen printing allows for larger, more detailed designs. - How much detail can embroidery capture?
Embroidery works best with simple, bold designs. Small text (under ¼ inch tall) and intricate details may not translate well into stitches. - Can you match my brand’s colors in embroidery?
Yes! We offer thread color matching using a variety of shades, including Pantone Matching System (PMS) equivalents. However, exact matches may vary slightly due to thread texture and sheen. - What type of image file do I upload for custom embroidery?
We accept serv .ai .eps .pdf .jpg .gif .png .bmp .tif .psd .doc (and more). - How much does custom embroidery cost?
Kustom Imprints offers upfront pricing on all embroidery and screen printing orders. You can view a price estimate online by entering your size, style, and quantity. If you have any questions, contact us at (800) 683-5854 - How many stitches is the average embroidery design?
At Kustom Imprints, we price the embroidery designs based on 3 size categories… Small Designs (Up to 6000 stitches), Medium Designs (6,000 – 10,000 Stitches) & Large Designs (10,000 – 15,000 Stitches). It takes an embroidery expert to accurately estimate a stitch count of a logo or design. To be certain of your design, just email or fax us your design and we can give you a free estimate. - Do I get a discount for bulk custom embroidery orders?
We have a low price guarantee, and will match any competitor’s prices. - Is It Possible to Get Product Samples for Custom Embroidery?
Absolutely! Obtaining product samples for custom embroidery is a common practice that many suppliers encourage. Samples allow you to assess the quality of embroidery, materials, and overall product before committing to a larger order. - Is there an order minimum?
We require a minimum order of 24. - Is there a way for me to keep track of orders for my entire organization/company/school?
Yes! We can create an online fundraising store for you to collect orders and payments by credit card. Then we can fulfill all the orders at the same time, and ship them (FREE) to your location where you can distribute them. - How can I promote my brand with a custom embroidery order?
Elevate Your Brand with Custom Embroidery
Custom embroidery is a fantastic way to make your brand stand out. By integrating thoughtful details, you can transform ordinary products into unique, branded masterpieces.
Design Engaging Logos
Begin with a well-designed logo that reflects your brand’s identity. Embroidery adds a tactile dimension, giving your logo a polished and professional finish. Consider using raised embroidery for a bolder impact.
Select Quality Materials
Choose high-quality fabrics and thread to ensure durability and a premium appearance. Your brand is worth the best, so don’t compromise on materials.
Personalize Product Lines
Custom embroidery can be applied to a wide range of products. From clothing and hats to bags and towels, the versatility of embroidery allows you to create a cohesive brand aesthetic across all items.
Incorporate Unique Details
Think about adding subtle, branded touches, such as embroidered initials or small icons that represent your brand’s ethos. These small details can make a lasting impression.
How do I care for embroidered apparel?
- Wash in cold water on a gentle cycle
- Turn items inside out before washing
- Air dry or tumble dry low
- Do not use bleach or harsh detergents
- Do not iron directly on embroidery
Will embroidery fade or come off over time? - No, embroidery is one of the most durable decoration methods and won’t fade, peel, or crack like screen printing. Proper care ensures long-lasting quality.
